Category 1 |
Student Groups and Community Groups Affiliated with the Schools. Student groups are defined as extra-curricular programs or activities and programs or activities of student-initiated, non school-sponsored clubs and organizations. Community groups affiliated with the schools include municipal and local organizations who have a direct connection to and/or directly support the District, such as PTA/PTOs, Booster Clubs, and the like. After District events, Category 1 groups will be granted priority to available school premises over Category 2 through 4 groups. |
Category 2 |
Public Nonprofit Groups. Public nonprofit groups are defined as governmental agencies and groups of individuals primarily comprised of District residents/members of the community, including students (during non-school hours) and employees (when not working in the scope of their employment) which provide civic, educational, recreational meeting and entertainment, or cultural activities , and are staffed by volunteers. Such public nonprofit groups will be permitted to use school premises during non-school hours as long as prior arrangements have been made with District administration. After District events, Category 2 groups will be granted priority to available school premises over Category 3 and 4 groups. Extraordinary user requirements will be evaluated when Category 2 groups request use of varsity athletic spaces, food service facilities, music rooms, computer rooms, and performing arts spaces. The District reserves the right to decline such rental requests. When user requirements or services are deemed extraordinary by the District administration, permission will not be granted to Category 2 users. |
Category 3 |
Private, Nonprofit Groups. Private, nonprofit groups, defined as those primarily comprised of District residents/members of the community, including students (during non- school hours) and employees (when not working in the scope of their employment) who are requesting solitary, occasional or regularly scheduled use for an activity with educational, cultural, religious, or charitable goals, may request to use available spaces during non-school hours. Category 3 groups will be granted priority to available school premises over Category 4 groups. Extraordinary user requirements will be evaluated when Category 3 groups request use of varsity athletic spaces, food service facilities, music rooms, computer rooms, and performing arts spaces. The District reserves the right to decline such rental requests. When user requirements or services are deemed extraordinary by the District administration, permission will not be granted to Category 3 users. |
Category 4 |
Commercial Users. Commercial users, defined as private, for-profit businesses, vendors, or entrepreneurs are strongly discouraged from application for public facility usage. Category 4 groups will be granted priority to available school premises only if there are no conflicts with District events and events involving Category 1 through 3 groups. Extraordinary user requirements will be evaluated when Category 4 groups request use of varsity athletic spaces, food service facilities, music rooms, computer rooms, and performing arts spaces. The District reserves the right to decline such rental requests. When user requirements or services are deemed extraordinary by the District administration, permission will not be granted to Category 4 users. |
